DETROIT (Tell Us Det)  - The Ford Fireworks lit up the Detroit skyline on Monday, June 27, 2016 with picturesque views visible in downtown Detroit, Windsor, Canada and beyond. Recognized as one of the world’s largest and most magnificent fireworks displays, this popular annual event produced a dazzling display enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of spectators.

The fireworks was the biggest display of pyrotechnics to date in its 58th years that has a tradition of putting on a breathtaking show for metro Detroit and Canadian viewers.

As a longtime supporter of The Parade Company, Ford Motor Company has served as title sponsor of The Ford Fireworks and presenting sponsor of The Parade Company’s Rooftop Party during The Ford Fireworks since 2013. Ford’s partnership with The Parade Company also includes title sponsorship of one of Detroit’s premier events, Hob Nobble Gobble at Ford Field and is the official vehicle of America’s Thanksgiving Parade® presented by Art Van.

New this year, Ford Motor Company offered free admission to Belle Isle for the first 1,000 vehicles for the fireworks on Monday night by providing DNR Recreation Passports. This pass may be used at all participating Michigan State Parks for the remainder of 2016.

Zambelli Fireworks Internationale staged more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects visible for miles along the Detroit River. This year’s show was themed “Go Forward Detroit,” a salute to the progress of Detroit and bright future of our city. It was choreographed again by the world-renowned Patrick Brault who has years of experience designing pyrotechnic displays including the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

As one of The Parade Company’s largest and most popular fundraisers of the year, The Ford Fireworks Rooftop Party offered the best seats in the city to view the fireworks. Guests attending the event experienced live music by Detroit’s own Fifty Amp Fuse, food by Andiamo, games, giveaways and more for all the guests. The fireworks show was truly a night to remember.
