Smooth sailing for the Northeast Guidance Center's 5th Annual Kruize4Kids

DETROIT - Northeast Guidance Center’s 5th annual Kruize4Kids took place on August 11th aboard the Ovation Yacht. Guests dined sumptuously aboard ship and enjoyed a three-hour cruise on a perfect evening on the Detroit River while savoring the music of internationally acclaimed jazz group Straight Ahead and dancing to dj “sounds” on the top deck.

This year’s charity auction benefactor was Humble Design, a non-profit that collects donations of furniture and household goods for low-income families. Humble Design helped to furnish Mack-Ashland Phase I when it was completed in 2013. Proceeds from this year’s Kruize will help to furnish “happy, humble, homes” Mack-Ashland Phase II townhomes for low-income families, youth aging out of foster care, veterans, victims of domestic violence and their children, the homeless and other persons who struggle daily with their behavioral health issues.

Mark your calendars for August 10, 2017 and plan to join Northeast Guidance. For more information regarding Kruize4Kids and how to become a 2017 sponsor, contact Sharon Common 313-308-1416 or www.neguidance.org<http://www.neguidance.org>.
