Building,

than
doubles
space
for
Detroit
entrepreneurs
Inclusive,
flexible
coworking
space
for
Detroit’s

- Bamboo
Detroit,
the
city’s
largest
coworking
community,
today
announced
that the
organization
has
signed a
lease
for
6,000
sq. ft.
of space
in the
Julian
C.
Madison
Building
at 1420
Washington
Blvd in
downtown
Detroit.
Expected
to open
in
January
2017,
the new
facility
will
better
serve
Detroit’s
entrepreneurs
and
creatives
with
shared
coworking
office
space
and the
addition
of
private
offices.
Once the
build-out
of the
new
space is
completed,
it is
expected
to
accommodate
up to
about
300
entrepreneurs,
an
increase
of 161
percent
beyond
its
current
occupancy.

and
innovative
space to
meet
their
needs.

Bamboo
Detroit’s
new
location
will
offer
team
offices,
dedicated
desks,
and
continue
to
provide

collaborative
work

Members
include
programmers
and
photographers,

startups,
design
firms,
nonprofits
and
service
providers.
Bamboo
will be
expanding
its
business
growth
programming,
which
includes
business
workshops,
networking
events,
inspirational
talks,
peer to
peer
support,
and a
wellness
and
self-care
series.
Bamboo
Detroit’s
new
space is
being
built in
partnership
with
locally
owned
companies
that
have
grown in
Bamboo.
Bamboo
member
NXT
Design,
a
commercial
interior
design
firm,
has
created
a custom
and high
quality
interior
design
solution
for the
new
creative
space.
Detroit’s
Rocket
Fiber,
also an
original
Bamboo
member,
will
provide
Gigabit
Internet
that is
1,000
times
faster
than
average
speeds
to the
startup
community.
Rightsize
Facility,
a
nationwide
office
interiors
and
facilities
services
firm,
has
outfitted
the new
space
with
flexible
furniture
including
new
glass
modular
offices,
collaborative
workstations
and
seating.
