Forgotten Harvest to Host 15th Annual Cruisin’ to Drive Out Hunger Event on Woodward Dream Cruise Weekend

OAK PARK - As the Woodward Dream Cruise’s official charity partner, Forgotten Harvest will host its 15th Annual Cruisin’ to Drive Out Hunger event on Friday, August 18 at Westborn Market in Berkley, (located at 27659 Woodward Avenue). From 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., the celebration will feature great local food, live entertainment and a sneak preview of classic car action.

Highlights of the event will include a “TasteFest” of metro Detroit’s best restaurants including, California Pizza Kitchen, Chive Kitchen, Huron Room, Maggiano's Little Italy, MGM Grand Detroit, River Bistro, Sweet Potato Sensations, Treat Dreams, Vinsetta Garage and more. Spirited libations will be provided by Gypsy Vodka and a variety of Atwater Brewery craft beers will also be available. Adding to the fun environment will be live music by Detroit’s own Larry Lee and the Back in the Day Band that guests will not want to miss.

The proceeds from the event will benefit Forgotten Harvest, who last year, rescued over 43 million pounds of food. This donated food is served to individuals and families as diverse as the metro Detroit’s communities – young and old, from all races and faiths. Each sponsorship dollar enables Forgotten Harvest to rescue and deliver four meals to our hungry neighbors.
